The Researchers´ Hall of Residence
was inaugurated in October 1998, further to being
fully remodelled with its original architecture respected.
An agraeement was reached by the Generalitat de Catalunya
and the High Board of Scientific Research (Consejo
Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, also
known as CSIC) to endow the Researchers´Hall
of Residence with a legal entity of its own, in order
to provide all researchers and scholars of all the
branches of knowledge who would travel to Barcelona
with a place in which they could stay.
The Hall of Residence comprises 85 rooms including
single and double rooms.
All of the rooms are equipped with air conditioning
and heating, TV, a complete bathroom ensuite and telephone.
The rooms are fully equipped and furnished. All rooms
have internet wireless connection. Smoking is forbiden
in all the building and rooms.
The Hall of Residence operates as
a hotel and is open 24 hours a day and throughout
the week.
Breakfast and daily cleaning of the rooms are included
in the rate.
